What do you love most about Fort Lauderdale?
Ft. Lauderdale has grown into one of the gayest towns on the planet. A casual place where all are welcome and the attitude is left behind. It might just be the friendliest gay town around. Did I mention the sunshine, tropical temperatures and of course the beach!
Where are your favorite spots for the quintessential Fort Lauderdale selfie?
No doubt, Port Everglades, one of the largest cruise ship terminals in the world. There is a State Park on the south side of the Port where you get an up-close view of the cruise ships embarking on their adventures.
Tell us about what makes Pineapple Point stand out your Trip Advisor ratings are outstanding?
Our service is second to none, beginning with our friendly, superbly trained staff - renowned for their unparalleled customer service. No request is too small or too detailed for our team of hosts.
For a guest looking for a night on the town, what would you recommend?
Being a gay guesthouse, we would send our guests to Wilton Drive the heart of the gayborhood. Dinner, drinks and dancing. With over 20 bars and restaurants there is a scene for every taste. We are also fortunate enough to live in a town that has outstanding restaurants that are gay friendly and very accommodating to our discerning customers.
What are some off-the-beaten path places, visitors should see?
I personally love the Bonnet House tour. A historic estate on the beach, built by two wealthy artists from Chicago. Built at the same time as the Flagler mansion in Palm Beach but a world away. Artsy, unpretentious, warm. Just like Ft. Lauderdale.
